[HOW TO] Install/Update Skype in Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin

As we know that Skype is widely used for the video calling, voice and text messaging. In Ubuntu 12.04 there may be problem or confusion how to install Skype 4.0.

 sudo apt-get install skype

If you use this above command in terminal you may not be able to install Skype in Ubuntu 12.04.

So you should add the Canonical Partner Repository also to install the skype.
Open terminal and run the command given below to install skype in Ubuntu 12.04. This command can be use for updating to skype 4.0 from the older versions.

sudo apt-add-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install skype
